A recent sound installation involving motion and pixel change sensors attached to window panes that trigger upper register piano notes and chords of varying loudness and pitch. As rain or wind contacts the outside of the window pane triggers mounted on opaque sheets on the inside of the window control the various piano sounds via MIDI. Depending on the intensity of rain or wind striking the window pane the piano sounds vary from very loud, dense chordal tones to soft, barely audible whispers from the high octaves of the piano's range.
