"Surname: 09- Duisberg, Germany Azkent Outdoor Festival (2009) Original Music and Sound Design Another great collaboration with my crazy Turkish director/visual artists friends Yesim Oszoy-Gulan and Genco Gulan. The performance was a huge celebration in an outdoor plaza in Germany complete with moving scultpures, nearly 100 actors and musicians and 2 hot air balloons used to fly lights and projectors over the audience. I had the great fortune to perform with four members of the Duisberg Philharmonic on 5 short string quartets of mine written for the outdoor shows. I also performed live electronic processing of the ensembles, mixing the processed sounds in live as they played. Listen to some of the music here:
